In an interview for Piers Morgan’s “Uncensored”, Sharon gave an honest and emotional account of the singer’s final moments.
Ozzy Osbourne died of heart failure at his home in Buckinghamshire, England, on July 22, two weeks after performing a farewell show with his bandmates.
According to the widow of the rock legend, her husband spent their last night together getting in and out of bed repeatedly.
“It was around 4:30 in the morning, and he said, ‘Wake up,’” she recalled. “I replied, ‘I’m already awake, you woke me up.’ And he said, ‘Give me a kiss.’ And then, ‘Hold me tight.’”
She said Ozzy told her he was going downstairs to do 20 minutes of exercise, and shortly afterward, he suffered a heart attack.
“He had a heart attack. I ran downstairs and there he was,” Sharon said. “I knew immediately he was gone. They tried, they really tried, and then they airlifted him to the hospital and tried again, and it was as if they were saying: ‘He’s gone. Let him be.’”
